Pray for Myanmar

On 28th March a deadly earthquake measuring 7.7 magnitude struck central Myanmar and destroyed lives and homes across the whole region. Thousands have been killed and injured. The numbers will rise as many others are still buried in the rubble. Those who have managed to survived now face a desperate humanitarian crisis.

Tearfund are part of the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) and are working with local partners in Myanmar, These local partners are actively involved in search and rescue efforts and assessing the needs of the various communities.

For comfort

Pray for the people of Myanmar who have been affected by this catastrophic disaster. Ask God to be with the thousands of people mourning loved ones and bring comfort to those living with the after effects of this devastation.

For strength

Pray for those people have lost loved ones. Many more have lost livelihoods. Pray they don’t lose hope. Search and rescue teams are attempting to find and free people from the rubble. Pray that God grants safety to survivors who haven’t been found, and strength and perseverance to those working tirelessly to reach them.

For aid

Please pray that aid is delivered safely and essential supplies reach survivors of the deadly earthquake quickly. In times of disaster – every second counts
